Green Bay ice Fishing ice report for Walleye and Whitefish! With the very cold temperatures we have had a lot of water on the Bay of Green Bay icing up. The biggest issue has been the high winds. The ice on Sunday evening was all the way North of Brussels, close to Little Sturgeon. Monday morning (this morning) that ice had blown out with the heavy South West wind. This afternoon there were fisherman out of Dyckseville close to the open water. Our inland lakes up in Door County are frozen such as Clark’s Lake and Kangaroo Lake. Overall we are expecting to be Walleye and White fishing in about 1 to 2 weeks out of Little Sturgeon around Snake Island.
The Green Bay Ice is not great yet for Walleye and Whitefish but the cold spell we have had has tempered the waters down and we should have a great year! We will probably be moving North towards Sturgeon Bay by mid January and suspect a lot better Ice than last year. If you are looking to get out on a guided ice fishing excursion or shack rental please give us a call as soon as possible.
